Investigations

Will’s award-winning investigative projects have focused on civil liberties, human rights, and environmental issues internationally. They have resulted in books, documentaries, TED talks, and groundbreaking multimedia productions.

Eco-Terrorism

The FBI’s “number one domestic terrorism threat” isn’t violent white supremacists or far-right extremists who stormed the capitol. It’s non-violent animal rights and environmental activists who they’ve dubbed “eco-terrorists.”

Secret Prisons

Communications Management Units, or CMUs, are prisons within prisons that were opened secretly, and illegal, for so-called “second tier terrorists.”

Fake News

As journalists are called the “enemy of the people” and “fake news,” a team of professors investigate the history of propaganda efforts and misinformation campaigns to deceive the public.

Surveillance

The FBI, collaborating with corporate spy firms, has been exposed monitoring journalists, activists, and non-violent protesters. They’ve even monitored vegan potlucks and who activists are dating.

Hurricane Maria

In the aftermath of the hurricane in Puerto Rico, Will worked with two university teams on a groundbreaking project to document the crisis both academically and journalistically, called “Listening to Puerto Rico.”
